Product Description:

The EZ-Cut™ Professional Level & Template Tool was designed as a time saving device to make installing “Old Work” electrical boxes easy and efficient. 

EZ-Cut™ will help professional audio and security installers, telecommunication installers, professional electricians and the “Do-it- Yourselfer”, accurately mark and cut precise holes in paneling or drywall.  It can be used to mark for a single or dual gang opening for which an electrical box can easily be installed.

The Professional Level & Template Tool (EZ-Cut™ ) includes a vertical leveling vial and a horizontal leveling vial protruding from the front face so the tool can be squared in either a horizontal or a vertical orientation.

Using The EZ-CutTM Tool:

The leveling vials are mounted in a housing that protrudes to form finger grips for holding the tool.  EZ-Cut also works great for multi-purpose leveling of electrical panel boxes, thermostats, pictures, shelves,

Tables, and many other items.

  • 1. Grip the Professional Level & Template Tool by the vertical vial housing on Side B. (Illustration above)
  • 2. Place the template tool on the wall where the electrical box will be located.
  • 3. Adjust until horizontal vial indicates the template tool is level.
  • 4. Trace the outside edge (Side-A) of the template tool for single gang boxes. For dual gang boxes trace the outside of Side-A and Side-B. Some electrical boxes require a square cutout (hole) therefore the corner material must be removed.
  • 5. Use a proper saw and cutout the opening to accept the outlet box. (Cut away the corners first, then all other material. Cut along the trace lines created in (step 4.)
